Newcastle United are prepared to make a €20m bid for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos in the winter transfer window.
The Premier League giants invested in midfield during the summer transfer window with the arrival of Sandro Tonali from Serie A giants AC Milan.
Newcastle confirmed that Sandro Tonali is under investigation by Italian prosecutors and the Italian Football Federation in relation to illegal betting activity.
The 23-year-old came on as a substitute in Newcastle’s 4-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday. He is now verge of facing a ban from professional football between seven months and three years.
The Magpies are scouting the market for a new midfielder. According to Fichajes, Ceballos is on the radar of Newcastle. The 27-year-old is struggling for regular game time under Carlo Ancelotti.
The Spain international has spent the last six years at Los Blancos, but he represented the Gunners during a two-year loan spell between 2019 and 2021, scoring twice in 77 appearances.
