Real Madrid are closing in on a loan move for Chelsea star Kepa Arrizabalaga. He has been the primary target of Los Blancos this summer.

The Spanish giants have been unexpectedly forced into the market following an injury to first-choice keeper Thibaut Courtois in training. The Belgian international is set to miss the entirety of the current season.

Andriy Lunin is taking charge as the first-choice goalkeeper. In his first game of last weekend, he kept a clean sheet for Real Madrid.

Carlo Ancelotti is fine with the current option in goalkeeping. Kepa could be a good addition for Real Madrid. Chelsea goalkeeper opted against joining Bayern Munich.

Robert Sanchez has already joined Chelsea, and will be the first choice at Stamford Bridge. Kepa Arrizabalaga will be loaned out to a Spanish club.

The Guardian claims the Blues will look to ensure they are covered across all positions, before sanctioning a loan exit, as they aim to bring in Kasper Schmeichel as cover for Sanchez.
