When Real Madrid hosts Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday night, several of their injured team members will start to return

Injuries to Arda Guler, Vinicius Junior, Eder Militao, and Thibaut Courtois have kept them all out of action for at least another week.

However, Dani Ceballos and Ferland Mendy, who have both been injured, have resumed their training this week, and according to Diario AS, Carlo Ancelotti will have access to them this week.

Ceballos suffered a muscular strain during the preseason and has been sidelined for the past two months. Meanwhile, Mendy tore a muscle during their preseason Clasico and has been sidelined ever then.

Given the intense battle in the middle of the pitch, Ceballos will struggle to get any playing time, and Mendy will start to face off against Fran Garcia for the left-back position.

On the other side, Real Sociedad are largely in good health. Last week, Umar Sadiq experienced some little discomfort, but he is now back in the gym, and Andre Silva has just started working out. The injured Portuguese striker who was brought in on loan from RB Leipzig has now fully recovered. It’s unclear if Imanol Alguacil will select him for the game.
