Zinedine Zidane was extremely happy for their win last night over Elche.
The Galacticos scored twice via Lucas Vazquez and Marco Asensio. And Zidane was full of praise for his boys.
“I’m happy for Asensio,” Zidane said at full time. “He’s had a big injury and he’s a lot better now and improving every time.
“I’m happy for him and it’s like that with everyone else too. We played a very serious game. I’m happy for everyone.”
The Real Madrid boss also had positive things to say about Saturdays’ other goalscorer, Lucas Vazquez.
“It’s not the fact that I like him so much, it’s that he’s doing very well,” Zidane added. “He’s very reliable, very committed and I’m happy with what he’s doing.
“Saying that, it’s always about the team. We played very well today. It’s always about picking up points and that’s not easy. We’re all very happy.”
Zidane is trying to re-establish the Madrid he had under him last time and while it is proving to be a bigger challenge, you can trust the man who won three Champions League trophies back to back to get it done.
