Since Aurelien Tchouameni, a midfielder for Real Madrid, lost his spot in the starting XI in the second part of the previous season, there has been a lot of speculation about his future this summer

Even if sources indicate that the Merengues do not want to move the 23-year-old defensive midfielder, Premier League clubs are reportedly snooping around his status.

Tchouameni reportedly has admirers within the Bayern Munich offices, according to recent claims from journalists Philipp Kessler and Manuel Bonke of TZ (h/t iMiaSanMia). This is in addition to the interest from England.

Officials at Bayern Munich do, in fact, “internally appreciate the French international, whose current market value stands at €85 million,” according to the article. The trade is deemed impractical due to the potential costs associated with any operation, thus the Bavarian giants have not spoken to the player or Real Madrid about it.

Tchouameni only recently moved to Real Madrid, moving from AS Monaco in a deal that may have cost up to €100 million with add-ons. The 23-year-old made an outstanding debut, filling the enormous shoes left vacant by Casemiro, and quickly established himself as a staple in Carlo Ancelotti’s midfield. However, after the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, his form and conditioning both suffered, which negatively impacted his game time in the second half of the season.

Real Madrid, though, has no interest in offloading Tchouameni this summer. In fact, Ancelotti is anticipated to start the 23-year-old at defensive midfield for the upcoming campaign. Tchouameni will be looking to secure a spot in the starting XI for the upcoming season after making 50 appearances in his first season with Real Madrid, where he contributed with four assists.
