Real Madrid have reportedly asked Alphonso Davies not to sign new contract with Bayern Munich.

The Canadian full-back has entered the final 18 months of his contract with the Bavarians who are keen to tie the defender in a new deal.

Bayern Munich were expected to offer a new contract to the 23-year-old but his contract demands have delayed that process.

The 23-year-old defender has established himself as one of the best full-backs of this generation since he arrived in Germany back in January 2019.

Carlo Ancelotti who recently extended his contract with Real Madrid will be hoping to rebuild and refresh the squad next summer.

Davies has made 176 appearances for Bayern Munich and won 13 trophies, including five Bundesliga titles and the Champions League in 2020.

The German side are reluctant to sell one of the talented defenders in the game but would be tempted to sell for anywhere in the region of €50 million.

Real Madrid will be hoping to enter into negotiations with Bayer Munich so a desired agreement can take place before the summer window.

Premier League giants Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City have been credited with an interest in the Canada international.

Bayern will have to open themselves up to offers if Davies doesn’t commit his future with the German outfit.
