5. Alvaro Odriozola

Spanish international right-back Alvaro Odriozola has signed for Fiorentina on loan from Los Blancos. During his loan deal, Fiorentina said that Odriozola arrives in Tuscany on a season-long loan after struggling to nail down a place in the Madrid first XI.

The Right-back signed for Madrid from Real Sociedad in 2018 and made just 43 appearances for Real Madrid. Last year he played 16 times in all competitions.

Odriozola has also played four times for Spain. His loan will end with Fiorentina on June 30, 2022, and his contract will expire in 2024.

4. Brahim Diaz

Brahim Diaz joined AC Milan on a two-year loan deal. Real Madrid and AC Milan have reached an agreement over a loan deal for Brahim Díaz for the next two seasons. His loan will end on 30 June 2023 so Brahim will return to Madrid in 2023.

He has been a crucial player for the club and the Italian club even decided to give him the historic number 10 for the season. There were some speculation about Brahim Diaz’s future at Real Madrid after his top performances with AC Milan last season. His performances impressed the manager Stefano Pioli and technical director Paolo Maldini who have been pressing for a second loan spell. The Spaniard rejoined AC Milan on loan and might play one more season.

Borja Mayoral was on good form as the 2020/21 season started. He has spent the past three years on loan, two with Levante and one with VfL Wolfsburg. Now, the Spaniard has been sent out to AS Roma to gain more experience.

“During the summer my agent informed me about the interest of Roma and many other clubs, but this club aroused my interest, it immediately attracted me and convinced me,” he said.

“Real Madrid wanted me to stay, but in the end they allowed me to leave and the conversations with Fienga and the coach were decisive to make it happen. I also want to thank Real Madrid for allowing me to be where I am today.

“In the summer I immediately expressed the desire to leave the club as soon as possible. Following a meeting with [Zinedine] Zidane, he expressed a wish for me to stay and so I stayed longer. My wish was to leave, because I thought I would have more opportunities to grow and to play somewhere else.”

Reinier is an attacking midfielder with all the right tools to make it big in Europe. He was signed from Flamengo in January 2020 for €30 million. Initially, the Brazilian was introduced into Real’s B side but then sent out on loan to Borussia Dortmund.

Takefuso Kubo is viewed as the next biggest talent to come out of Asia. Formerly trained by FC Barcelona, the attacking midfielder joined Real in 2019 from FC Tokyo.

He signed a five-year contract and was sent out on loan to Mallorca. The Japanese sensation not only impressed in the La Liga but showcased exactly why there was so much hype surrounding him.

Kubo is technically gifted, highly creative and has a playing style similar to Lionel Messi. He could easily develop into one of Real’s stars if he continues to improve at this rate. He featured in 36 games for Mallorca last season and delivered with 9 goal contributions. Now, he is on a year-long loan with Mallorca under Matthew Hope and his loan will end in 2022.
