According to fresh reports,  Manchester City have agreed to terms with Erling Haaland’s representatives

Manchester City and Erling Haaland’s representation have reached an agreement for the much sought-after striker to transfer to the Premier League.

The Norwegian has long been a goal for several of the game’s titans, including Barcelona and Real Madrid, and is expected to join the Premier League giants if his release clause of about 76 million euros is activated ahead of this summer.

The Borussia Dortmund player, on the other hand, was a difficult target since his agent, Mino Raiola, and father, Alfie Haaland, were expecting large commissions.

If the deal goes through, it will be the biggest signing of the year so far, with more big news expected next week.

Manchester City is expected to give Haaland a lucrative deal for more than 600,000 euros. He would go on to become the highest-paid footballer in England by a long by.

The sole difficulty with the 21-year-probable old’s transfer from Borussia Dortmund was his fitness level and injury status, which appears to have been remedied or is no longer a concern for the Premier League heavyweights.

Pep Guardiola has been lobbying for a top-tier striker for some time, and after nearly missing out on Harry Kane last summer, City seem likely to sign one.

It’s a setback for Real Madrid, who were thought to be in a strong position to sign him, as well as Barcelona. But matching Manchester City’s cash proposals was always going to be impossible.
