Carlo Ancelotti won the La Liga in his second stint with Real Madrid.

The Los Blancos won the 2021/22 La Liga season with four games to spare and would want to finish the season on a high by winning the Champions League next weekend.

Players like Isco, Gareth Bale and Marcelo will leave Santiago Bernabeu once their contract expires next month.

Ancelotti helped Real Madrid challenge both La Liga and Champions League this year since his arrival last summer.

The Italian manager reflects on the remarkable campaign so far.

Ancelotti said: “It’s a very high mark, because we started well and we finished better. The team has always shown commitment through their collective work.”

“Then we’ve also had good individual performances like Courtois, Vini and Benzema. But what sticks with me is the atmosphere in the dressing room, it’s been spectacular and that has made the difference this season. I thank them for that.”

David Ospina is having a solid campaign with securing 13 clean sheets.

According to Marca, Real Madrid are eyeing a move for Napoli custodian David Ospina. It has been added that Spanish champions could move in for the Colombian keeper. Andriy Lunin is planning to leave at the end of this campaign.

The 33-year-old is having a solid campaign in Serie A securing 13 clean sheets. He has appeared in 33 matches for the Italian outfit.

The former Arsenal keeper is a decent handler of the ball and has got good reflexes that allow him to make a few solid saves at the back. The addition of a Colombian keeper is great for Real Madrid if Andriy Lunin ends up leaving the Los Blancos in this off-season.

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti would be wise to snap Ospina up when the transfer window commences later this year.

Gareth Bale’s future will be decided in the coming weeks.

The 32-year-old winger will end his nine-year spell with Real Madrid this summer and he is yet to decide on his future.

H will decide on his future after the outcome of the World Cup play-off with Wales is known.

“We will sit down and go through everything after the Wales matches in June. Gareth wants to focus on what happens with Wales first,” said Barnett, agent of Gareth Bale.

“He will then make a decision about the future once he knows exactly where Wales are at. There will always be speculation from others, but it’s not necessarily informed.

“His massive ambition is to lead Wales into the World Cup, he’s already done pretty much everything else. The people of Wales will know how much that means to him, he’s probably a national treasure to them.”

The Welshman has recently been linked with a move to Cardiff City this summer.

Barnett on Bale joining Cardiff: “Who knows? We’ll look and see in due course. But I repeat there are no options on the table at the moment.

“Cardiff has a lot of plusses. He’s from Wales, his family are from there. From a personal point of view it could appeal. But I emphasise this is me talking, my views, not Gareth’s. I have not discussed it with him.”

Kylian Mbappe is about to announce his departure from the French capital.

The Frenchman is out of contract in June and PSG has tried to keep him at the club for another two seasons by offering €150m signing-on fee.

The 23-year-old is expected to make his contract decision just before the Nations League tournament which starts on 1st June.

Spanish football expert Guillem Balague claims Mbappe has already agreed to personal terms with La Liga champion Real Madrid.

“Real Madrid are confident the terms agreed in the past will be respected, even though he tried to change them a bit when PSG came up with a huge offer of a 150m euros signing-on fee,” said Balague.

“Since then, the things that needed to be finalised are the image rights and other things related to the contract but Madrid insist the personal terms have been respected.

“They are confident that when he comes out with his decision before he joins up with France, it will be to say he is going to Real Madrid. Every time there has been a news story coming from PSG, the message from Real Madrid has been ‘don’t worry’.”

“Maybe I’ll be happy in Paris, but maybe somewhere else”, said Mbappe.

Real Madrid is the frontrunner to acquire Mbappe if he leaves Ligue 1 champions. He has been heavily linked with the Los Blancos.

Mbappe said: “I made the mistake three years ago of taking over the ceremony. I want to participate in the ceremony, no look for glory. We will know really soon, it’s almost done. My decision is made, yes, almost.”

Mbappe is referring to the 2019 ceremony when he made some comments that made waves. He basically stated that he would rather have more responsibility at another club.

“I think it’s time I have more responsibility,” Mbappe also added. “Maybe I’ll be happy in Paris, but maybe somewhere else, with a new project, too.”

Real Madrid will surely go for the PSG striker in the upcoming summer transfer window. Mbappe also wants to leave the club.

Carlo Ancelotti has spoken on the future of Eden Hazard amid interest from Arsenal

Since joining Real Madrid from Chelsea, the Belgian winger has struggled, scoring only six goals in 65 games. Hazard was widely considered as one of the finest players in the world during his time at Chelsea, but he has battled to get into Real Madrid’s first team in recent years.

According to Foot Mercato, Arsenal were mulling a bid for the Real Madrid winger, and Ancelotti has now spoken out on Hazard’s future at the club, as shown in the tweet below from Fabrizio Romano.

Despite his poor form and previous injuries, Ancelotti has promised Hazard would remain at the club. According to the BBC, the 31-year-old joined Real Madrid for a cost in the region of £150 million, so the Spanish giants may be trying to give him one final opportunity or risk incurring a large loss on the player.

Real Madrid have very little possibility of recouping even a fraction of what they paid for him, so they will be hoping Ancelotti can recapture the form he showed when at Chelsea.

Karim Benzema has taken the leadership since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Frenchman has scored 41 goals this season and has helped Madrid crown their 35th La Liga trophy.

This has been by far his best season at Real Madrid and was instrumental in putting Real Madrid in the finals of the Champions League.

Since Ronaldo’s departure in 2018, Benzema has taken the leadership into his own hands and become more responsible for the team.

A post shared by Karim Benzema (@karimbenzema)

Ancelotti told SiriusXM FC: ‘I have difficulty calling Benzema only a centre-forward because he’s a fantastic player that’s playing from the front.’

‘I think Karim became a leader of the team when Ronaldo left because at that time he had more responsibility,’ he added.

‘Ronaldo was a player that was scoring around 50 goals a season and without him, Madrid had more difficulties to score goals.

‘Karim took on this responsibility and became more important for the team. But this squad has a lot of leaders.’
