Marcelo became the most celebrated Real Madrid player after the club’s 35th La Liga title.

The 34-year-old has struggled for game time in the past two seasons and has featured in only 17 games this season.

He has entered the final few months of his contract and is expected to leave Bernabeu in the summer.

After 15 years of association with the club, the Brazilian full-back expressed his desire to continue his next season at Real Madrid.

Currently, there are no contract extension offers on the table for the most decorated players in the club’s history.

The defender said: “I don’t know what is going to happen. I am very content and happy to play in the best team in the world. I have just surpassed a legend of Madridismo as Paco Gento is. I am the player with the most titles in the best club in the world and that is priceless. If I stay or I don’t stay… I want to stay, so that is made clear.”

Carlo Ancelotti becomes the first manager to win all five European leagues in his career.

Real Madrid won 4-0 against Espanyol to clinch their 35th La Liga crown with four remaining games for the season.

Ancelotti won the crown in his second stint as a Real Madrid manager after failing to win it in his first stint from 2013-15.

He is the first manager to win the top crowns in Spain, England, Germany, Italy and France.

Now Real Madrid will aim to add the Champions League title to their collection if they manage to win against Manchester City this Tuesday.

‘A lot of emotion, we have met a challenge,’ Ancelotti said. ‘The season has been spectacular. Lots of consistency. I have to thank the players for their work and their attitude.

‘Today we have to celebrate, not talk. I want to celebrate. It fills me with pride to win in the five major leagues. I can say that I like what I do. It means I’ve done pretty well.’

Real Madrid agree contract extension with Luka Modric

Luka Modric intends to end his playing days in the Spanish capital.

According to AS, Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Luka Modric over a contract extension.

Reports add that Modric intends to end his playing days in the Spanish capital and could be offered a role in the management team once he retires.

The legendary midfielder made it clear that he wanted to remain a Madrid player for the foreseeable future while speaking after his side’s Spanish Super Cup victory.

“There is nothing, nothing better for me than being a Real Madrid player. I’m not thinking about the renewal now. The club knows what I desire. We will surely reach the agreement soon.”

Luka Modric’s current deal will expire this summer and Los Blancos are looking to make it until 2023 with the option for a further 12 months.

The Croatia international has been a standout performer for Madrid in last one decade. He was part of that strong side that won three Champions League titles in a row under Zinedine Zidane.

Modric was the only player other than Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi to win the Balon d’Or.

However, Carlo Ancelotti’s men are still seeking further reinforcements in the centre of the pitch.

Real Madrid set asking price for Marco Asensio

Real Madrid set asking price for Marco Asensio

Within the Madridista discussion forums, few transfer topics raise as strong opinions as the future of Marco Asensio

At 26 years old, Asensio has yet to mature into the superstar he promised to be during his early years at Real Madrid. Despite having a good season and his most regular run of starts under Carlo Ancelotti since 2018, he has lost his starting spot to a mixture of Fede Valverde and Rodrygo Goes. It’s also the first time he’s reached double figures in goals since helping them win the Champions League last season.

Those 11 goals have not been enough to win him a starting spot as the tournament enters the final stretch. Asensio has played just two minutes in Europe after being replaced in the Round of 16 match against Paris Saint-Germain.

This has fueled a lot of conjecture about his future, especially since he ditched his agent Horacio Gaggioli in favour of Jorge Mendes. With his contract expiring in 2023, it looks that his prospects of remaining at the club are dependent on accepting a lower pay.

If he decides to leave the club for a few minutes this summer, he will have to pay Florentino Perez a sizable fee. According to Sport, Asensio’s asking price is €35-40 million.

Whether that is a bargaining position or not, it is doubtful that many teams would part with that much money for a player who has a year remaining on their contract but isn’t starting.

Real Madrid eventually managed to come away with a result from the Etihad Stadium that “keeps the tie open” said Carlo Ancelotti

The Italian manager, who is attempting to reach the Champions League final for a record sixth time, talked to BT Sport after the game and discussed a tense encounter. Manchester City forced a two-goal gap on Real Madrid three times, but a Karim Benzema penalty at the finish put the semi-final in doubt.

The magic of the Bernabeu, which Ancelotti has used twice previously in the tournament to defeat PSG and then Chelsea, may play a role once again. Aside from that, he applauded his players’ mental toughness, particularly Karim Benzema, who took his penalty like Panenka after missing two penalties in their previous encounter against Osasuna.

Juventus are looking to strengthen their defensive department

This summer, Juventus passed up the chance to sign Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer from Chelsea.

According to the source, Real Madrid has agreed to a four-year contract with the German defender. With Giorgio Chiellini eyeing a move to Major League Soccer this summer, the situation only seems tougher for Juventus.

The Chelsea defender decided to leave the club in the summer as confirmed by Tuchel in his last press conference.

But Simon Jordan states his wage demands are very high and Chelsea will be better off without the German defender.

In his new deal with Real Madrid, the star would allegedly receive a net income of roughly €12 million every season. It is reported that Juventus are not the only side who did not sign Rudiger, with Manchester United facing a similar outcome in their pursuit of the defender.

He desired to join a team that competes in the Champions League on a regular basis. As a result, he has picked Real Madrid, according to the Italian journalist.

Real Madrid coach Ancelotti talks defensive blocks for Champions League game

Will Ancelotti use the Argentine’s team as the blueprint to trouble Man City tonight.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti talks about defensive blocks to facing Manchester City in the Champions League semifinal first-leg.

Real Madrid has an idea that how Atletico created problems for City in quarterfinals. They believe Ancelotti should use the Argentine’s team as the blueprint to trouble Manchester City on Tuesday.

He said, “If you’re not a compact unit you’ll suffer. The defensive side of things will play an important part in tomorrow’s match. Defending well, being a compact unit and having that collective commitment will be important.

“There’ll be spells when City will have the ball, and when they do, we’ve got to defend and try to win it back. You can do that by applying a high, mid or low press and when we win the ball back, we’ve got to make the most of our quality.

“You can do that by adopting a solid set-up at the back, by playing direct football, with one-on-one duels… There’s no big secret to the way we’ll set up.”
