As Real Madrid enters the final stretch of the season, they have the additional weight of analysing the contractual status of players like Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, and Toni Kroos, among others

Thankfully, Jesus Vallejo’s situation does not present a threat, but it should be noted that the 26-year-old is soon to mark 10 years with the club.

Vallejo was acquired by Madrid for €6 million in 2015 from Zaragoza. After agreeing to a six-year contract that runs through 2021, the young defender was promptly sent on loan to Zaragoza for the current season. The following year, he joined Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany.

Vallejo has made just 17 league appearances in his eight years with Real Madrid, but he is ready to stay through the end of his contract, which expires in 2025, even though he is aware that nothing will change soon. The defender Rodra feels that, at the age of 26, he is already a member of the greatest team in the world and that now is simply not the time for him to pursue other opportunities.

Vallejo hasn’t played much on the field, but he’s in the best condition of his career and hasn’t been unavailable for selection since he was diagnosed with COVID-19. The 26-year-old has played 67 minutes this season across all categories, and his confidence is still high enough that he hasn’t given up.

Vallejo has taken out loans four times since relocating to Madrid. Madrid made the decision to extend his deal for an additional four seasons in 2019 before joining Wolverhampton Wanderers. It was prolonged until 2025 in 2021. Vallejo is thought of as a true professional, but he has been compelled to accept a lower position by circumstance. And it doesn’t seem like it will alter anytime soon, either.

Real Madrid have entered talks with Gabri Veiga and his agent for a summer move
bildbyran

Real Madrid held a meeting with La Liga club Celta Vigo earlier today to discuss the transfer of young midfielder Gabri Veiga.

The 20-year-old has become one of the most sought-after young talents of the summer after an explosive season so far in which he has scored nine La Liga goals and assisted three more. .

Veiga has attracted interest from top Premier League clubs such as Arsenal and Liverpool, among others, while Real Madrid also have an eye on the young midfielder. Los Blancos are set to refresh their midfield as Luka Modric and Toni Kroos enter the final stages of their careers.

Both are out of contract at the end of the season and even if renewed, the duo are only expected to continue for one more season. And with Dani Ceballos’ contract also set to expire this summer, Real Madrid may need to strengthen their midfield.

Jude Bellingham remains a prime target for the Whites but Veiga is also being pursued, regardless of concern for the former. Earlier today, Celta Vigo president announced that Real Madrid had not been in contact with the club about Veiga, while also confirming that he has a release clause in his contract, worth an estimated €40 million. .

Now, it looks like the defending champions Spain have had initial talks with Veiga on the Galician side. It remains to be seen whether this leads to a more concrete approach and delivery. It is reported that Real Madrid will not be willing to pay the full amount of the €40 million release clause for Veiga but they may reconsider.

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos not willing to give up on La Liga title

Real Madrid will face Barcelona again in the second-leg semifinal of Copa del Rey.

Despite a defeat in El Clasico last week, Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos is not in the mood to give up on La Liga title.

Real Madrid are 12 points behind league leader FC Barcelona and it’s really tough to overcome Xavi’s side in the upcoming weeks.

The Real midfielder was disappointed with the result at Camp Nou on Sunday night but he has refused to write off the league. “Of course, we know that we have two other competitions where our chances are better. But in the league, there are still too many games left, no matter what they are for in the end, whether to get us back closer in some way or just to keep the tempo high ahead of other more important games,” said Kroos.

“However, the aim will always be to win them, regardless of whether or not something is now considered lost. That’s why it’s not necessary to write anything off now. Why? It will be normal if we don’t become champions. But that doesn’t mean we’re going to give up on every game from now on in.”

On Real Madrid’s performance against Barça, the German added: “It’s difficult for me to analyse that game, except that in the end, of course, it was a bad result. At least I’m of the opinion that a draw would have been fair, even if it wouldn’t have been a good result for us. We were too passive after our goal”.

Real Madrid will face Barcelona again in the second-leg semifinal of Copa del Rey. Barcelona are ahead in the game after the victory in the first leg game.

€40 million star from Celta Vigo prefers a Real Madrid move over other Premier League clubs

In recent weeks, there has been fierce competition for the position of Jude Bellingham. The Borussia Dortmund star is being sought after by Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Real Madrid, who are all hoping to acquire him come June

It makes sense that the clubs have alternate names on their tables given the fierce rivalry. Gabri Veiga of Celta Vigo is one such player who is on the radar of the aforementioned teams. The Premier League has made proposals to the La Liga midfielder for the upcoming season. However, according to SER, the player has expressed interest in joining Real Madrid and has requested the club if they will match the offer from England.

Veiga has a €40 million release option with Celta Vigo. The young prodigy will wear white next season if the Merengues are able to equal such a valuation, either directly or through player exchanges. Veiga’s profile has been watched by Real Madrid for some time, and they have let his surroundings know that they are interested in signing him. The Spanish publication also explains that Jude Bellingham’s contract would still be possible even if Veiga were to arrive in June.

Celta Vigo is interested in Real Madrid Castilla’s Rafa Marin, who is naturally one of the players Los Blancos are considering using in a Veiga trade. However, it is safe to state that the initial stages of player exchange discussions have begun.

This season, the 20-year-old Spanish phenom has dominated La Liga. He has made 25 appearances for Celta Vigo this season, making nine starts and contributing three assists. In his league season, he has generated five significant opportunities and close to one important pass per game.

The issue will come down to the Merengues’ financial flexibility and their ability to spend an additional €40 million on top of the Englishman’s fee, with Los Blancos reluctant to give up on Bellingham despite Veiga’s signing.

Ancelotti provides a hard-hearted statement for Real Madrid flop Eden Hazard

The manager of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, has given a harsh assessment of Eden Hazard’s notorious tenure at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium

The 32-year-old has lost some of his distinction in La Liga despite joining Los Merengues from Chelsea in 2019 as one of Europe’s top players. A former Premier League MVP has become a Bernabeu scapegoat due to persistent injury issues, a lack of self-discipline, and lackluster performances.

Rumors of a relationship breakdown between the player and manager have been sparked by Ancelotti’s choice to bench a €150 million signing, and the Italian has come forward to address those discussions.

The Italian tactician responded when asked about Hazard’s covert strategy in the Spanish capital: “I’m not here to give each player minutes, I’m here to win games,” according to Fabrizio Romano. “I started with the strongest lineup to win games. I only consider a player’s accomplishments; I don’t consider his age or how much he makes.

The Athletic reports that Hazard plans to finish out his lucrative deal at the Bernabeu despite his continued struggles to make the Madrid team. According to the same story, the player’s representatives spoke with the club’s leadership to “review” his circumstance.

While the meeting’s result is still unknown, it is believed that the unpopular forward has no objections to the idea of keeping his word, even if it means having less playing time. It’s interesting to note that Hazard’s appalling Los Blancos tenure had no effect on his place on the national team, as he led Belgium to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar before declaring his retirement in December.

Real Madrid could make a surprise signing from Chelsea this summer

Real Madrid could make a surprise signing from Chelsea this summer

Romelu Lukaku of Chelsea is reportedly being courted by Real Madrid for a surprise move during the upcoming summer transfer season

The Belgian forward is presently on loan at Inter Milan, where during his second stint with the team, he has not made an impression.

Giuseppe Marotta, the CEO of Inter, has announced that Lukaku will rejoin Chelsea, his original team, at the conclusion of the current campaign. The Belgian, however, appears to be in danger of leaving Stamford Bridge soon as Real Madrid allegedly considers him a “strong option” to team up with Karim Benzema up front.

The Daily Mail quotes Spanish publication Fichajes as saying that Real Madrid is eager to sign Lukaku in the summer because they are huge fans of his talent. Lukaku may benefit from the transfer because he had a fantastic time during his first stint at Inter Milan, where he scored 64 goals and provided 16 assists across all categories.

The Belgian failed to duplicate his Inter form and quickly lost the support of then-manager Thomas Tuchel after returning to Chelsea in 2021 for a record-breaking £97 million transfer price. It is still unknown where Lukaku will play in 2019 because Chelsea is allegedly not interested in signing the striker.

If a lucrative offer is made, Chelsea will surely try to sell Lukaku.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Courtois talked about Erling Haaland.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois admits club’s continued success in Europe can offset the power of the Premier League.

For the fifth time in six seasons, England’s top flight will have at least two representatives in the quarter-finals of the competition the Spanish giants have won a record 14 times.

Six Premier League teams have featured in the last five finals – two were all top-flight occasions – and Liverpool and Chelsea have won one apiece, which is the same number Real have won over the same period after three in four years from 2014-17.

“It’s hard to say whether it’s the best league or not but definitely with the new investment in Chelsea, City and Newcastle, there is a lot of attraction to go to the Premier League,” said former Chelsea goalkeeper Courtois, who cited Manchester City’s signing of Erling Haaland as an example.

“It’s a really exciting league, that’s for sure, a big competitive league and the level is really high. But I think we demonstrate that we have a big team and that you cannot under-estimate Spanish teams. We showed it again.

“It’s obviously nice to beat English teams because I was there for a few years, but when you’re in the Champions League you want to win against everybody – maybe next it’s Portuguese and Italian clubs.”

On Haaland he said: “He’s a great player. He was maybe what City were missing in previous years. I think that’s (an example of) where the Premier League maybe has the edge on other leagues.

“It’s the strength of the Premier League; what they’ve done in previous years to make everyone strong and give everyone the (TV) money and if they get relegated they have parachute money. All these things make a difference to the strength of the league.

“Hopefully we can balance it out. I really feel this is somewhere that LaLiga can learn from and I think they are doing it step by step.

“You can see a lot of LaLiga are building new stadiums or making their stadiums nicer but (it) always helps when you see that every Premier League ground is full. We need the same here and then the product can be better.”
